Dr. Renshaw has loved taking care of animals since he was very young. As a second generation veterinarian who grew up on a small farm filled with animals, he spent many hours a day tending to his pets. At the age of 10, he realized that his special kinship to animals could be applied to a fun and interesting career as a veterinarian. During his college years, he graduated with a Bachelors in Veterinary Science, followed by a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Michigan State University. He has worked at Animal Clinic, Inc. since 2007, after several years at a busy small animal practice in the greater Grand Rapids area.
Since working at Animal Clinic, he has greatly increased the breadth of animals that he treats. Over the years, he has been able to hone his skills in exotic animal medicine and broaden his scope of knowledge to zoological medicine, through his volunteer work for the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center and experience working as a veterinarian at the John Ball Zoo. At the zoo, he has helped care for a wide variety of animals, from primates and large cats to exotic frogs and komodo dragons.
According to Dr. Renshaw, “At Animal Clinic, our main goal is to treat and prevent diseases, which helps and heals pets and puts their owners at ease. This strengthens the human-animal bond, which translates to healthier pets, pet owners, and communities.” Dr. Renshaw is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of both pets and their owners. The most fulfilling experiences in his career involved treating pets in emergency situations. He most enjoys the look of satisfaction in the faces of his clients, when the extra efforts made by him and his staff pay off. His hope is that they can see that he cares about each and every pet that he treats as his very own.
Dr. Renshaw enjoys spending time with his wife, their two young boys, and his cat. In his spare time, he enjoys fishing, swimming, BBQ, boating and following college athletics.

Dr. Keane was raised in central Ohio and attended undergraduate school at Miami University in southern Ohio. He graduated with honors from the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2001. He has also lived in Massachusetts, West Virginia, and Tennessee. Dr. Keane has practiced in Michigan since 2006, and he found a permanent home in Grand Rapids in 2010.
Veterinary Medicine was Dr. Keane’s calling from a very young age as he always had many pets and spent summer vacation time working on his uncle’s farm. The opportunity to practice all aspects of medicine and surgery, for multiple species, made veterinary medicine a career choice that would never become boring. He worked in different roles from kennels, to reception, to assistant before becoming a veterinarian. Dr. Keane has 15 years of experience with ultrasound and has brought this diagnostic tool to Animal Clinic. He also performs ultrasound and echocardiography exams for other local veterinary clinics.
When out of the clinic, Dr. Keane enjoys time in Michigan’s great outdoors. His hobbies include camping, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, biking, skiing, mushroom hunting, cooking and gardening.

Areas of Veterinary Interest: Soft Tissue Surgery, Exotic Animal Medicine Dr. Stahlin grew up in the small town of McBain, Michigan, where she participated in 4-H clubs and showed animals at the county fair, including goats, dogs, horses, pigs, chickens, and steers. Since her parents were veterinarians, she was exposed to veterinary medicine at a young age. She enjoyed spending time on farms with her dad or helping care for emergent patients at the family clinic. Her interest in animal husbandry and medicine continued through high school and college, where her summer jobs included beekeeping, driving horse carriages, and working at primary care or emergency vet clinics. Dr. Stahlin received a degree in Chemistry from the University of Michigan – Dearborn and continued on to complete veterinary school at Michigan State University. Some of her favorite experiences in veterinary school were partnering with veterinary students in Mexico to care for working equids and providing preventative care for zoo animals here in Michigan. Dr. Stahlin is excited about gaining knowledge in caring for non-traditional pets, such as birds, rabbits, and more, in order to provide services to a wider variety of patients. She looks forward to providing compassionate and high-quality care for the furry members of your family! In her free time, she enjoys hiking and camping along the shores of Lake Michigan and Superior, downhill skiing, and relaxing with her cat, Chuy.Bio coming soon
